White Glove Cargo maintains comprehensive commercial insurance coverage through licensed carriers. Our Certificate of Insurance (COI) is current and meets all federal and state requirements for motor carrier operations.

1. Commercial Auto Liability

Coverage Limits:

  • Per Occurrence: $1,000,000
  • Aggregate: $2,000,000
  • Deductible: $5,000 per claim

Covers bodily injury and property damage arising from the operation of our commercial vehicles. This includes accidents involving our trucks, cargo vans, and delivery vehicles.

2. Cargo Insurance

Coverage Limits:

  • Standard Coverage: $100,000 per shipment
  • Maximum Single Item: $50,000
  • Deductible: $1,000 per claim

Basic Liability (Included at No Charge):

$0.60 per pound per article - This is the minimum liability required by law. For example, a 50-pound item would be covered for up to $30 (50 × $0.60).

Enhanced Coverage Options:

Full Value Protection

Coverage: Up to declared value (maximum $100,000)
Rate: 3% of declared value
Example: $10,000 shipment = $300 insurance fee

High-Value Cargo Insurance

Coverage: $100,001 - $500,000
Rate: Custom quote required
Requires: Itemized inventory, photos, appraisals for items over $25,000

3. General Liability

Coverage Limits:

  • Per Occurrence: $2,000,000
  • General Aggregate: $4,000,000
  • Products/Completed Operations: $2,000,000
  • Personal & Advertising Injury: $1,000,000

Covers bodily injury and property damage occurring at customer locations during loading, unloading, and installation activities. Includes coverage for damage to customer property.

4. Workers' Compensation

Coverage:

  • Statutory Limits: Per state requirements
  • Employer's Liability:
  • - Each Accident: $1,000,000
  • - Disease - Policy Limit: $1,000,000
  • - Disease - Each Employee: $1,000,000

All White Glove Cargo employees and contract drivers are covered under our workers' compensation policy.

5. Filing a Claim

Claim Process

  1. Report Damage Immediately

    Note damage on delivery receipt or report within 5 business days for concealed damage. Take photos of damaged items and packaging.

  2. File Claim

    Submit claim form with photos, original quote/invoice, and description of damage to claims@whiteglovecargo.com

  3. Claim Review

    Our claims team will review within 2 business days and may request inspection or additional documentation.

  4. Resolution

    Claims are settled within 30 days via repair, replacement, or monetary settlement at our discretion.

Claim Deadlines

  • Visible Damage: Must be noted on delivery receipt at time of delivery
  • Concealed Damage: Report within 5 business days of delivery
  • Filing Deadline: Claims must be filed within 9 months of delivery date
  • Legal Action: Must be initiated within 2 years of delivery date

6. Exclusions and Limitations

The following are not covered under our insurance policies:

  • Items improperly packed by the shipper
  • Normal wear and tear or gradual deterioration
  • Inherent vice (items prone to damage from their own nature)
  • Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
  • Delays in transit (unless caused by our negligence)
  • Perishable goods without temperature-controlled service
  • Currency, securities, precious metals, or gems (unless specially declared and insured)
  • Items valued over $50,000 without prior approval and enhanced coverage

7. Additional Insured Status

We can add your company as an "Additional Insured" on our General Liability policy for facility access or vendor compliance requirements. There is no charge for this service for active customers.

  • Company name and address
  • Certificate holder information
  • Project or location description
  • Any specific endorsement requirements

Certificates are typically issued within 2 business days.
